Hon. Mursal Ahmed Hassan highlighted the measures taken by the Djibouti Parliament to enhance transparency, improve legislative efficiency, and strengthen relations with independent media. He noted that disciplined enforcement of parliamentary rules ensures credibility and public trust.
According to Spokesperson Hon. Mursal Ahmed Hassan, the Nairobi conference provided an opportunity to exchange experiences with other East African legislatures and media organizations on best practices for governance, accountability, and citizen engagement.
Hon. Mursal Ahmed Hassan also called on regional media to support the dissemination of factual and balanced information, stressing that partnership between parliaments and the press is key to promoting democratic development across the region.
The event concluded with mutual commitments to maintain open communication channels and continuous collaboration between the Djibouti Parliament and media stakeholders.
